spoke with his dad 2 years back at my cousins funeral. father had nothing good to say about boston bruins orginization and
compared other franchises to the bruins. went into detail about how other teams really take care of the families and kids etc...
again he did not have many nice things to say about bruins. wasnt just the dad giving his opinions he specifically was
telling it from his sons perspective. yandle has had his chance via free agency to go where he has wanted, he didnt pick boston then why now?
bruins dont want or need him as far as I can tell. He nevers bashes Boston the city just
doesnt want to play for Bruins. As someone who grew up outside Boston I can
understand this. Lots of Bruins fans still harbor a grudge for Mr Jacobs and Co.
and I got the feeling this is true for the Yandles for sure.
Just curious about what the details are with this. What examples did he use? Some of this was true about the Bruins 20 and 30 years ago, but Ive never heard anyone say this about the organization in the last 15 years

I mean there’s the whole laying off employees because of COVID when every other team paid their own to stay at home

Scores SO MANY pp points, but can't be on the ice.

He's not free, he's $6.35M. It's not like teams can just "have" him, they still havr to pay him his money.
Unforgiveable to cut short one of the longest ironman streaks in HISTORY. He can obviously still play. Play him in a limited "pp specialist" role until he is traded.
Shit move.
So keep a BS streak going at the detriment to the team? Sounds good.

Ironman streaks are dumb, one of the most useless things to track in sports.
I agree, your career shouldn’t revolve around the fact that you’re just...in the lineup. Especially in a contact sport, many believe he intentionally doesn’t get more involved in plays so he doesn’t risk getting injured just to keep that streak alive. I know it’d be a neat accomplishment but that’s all it is. This isn’t cal ripken jr, no one even know the 1st or 2nd or 3rd, hopefully once this nonsense is over with maybe he’ll actually play a little more involved now that he doesn’t have to worry about it. Or if it rubs him that much then waive and try to find a trade partner. But pick your poison. He isn’t owed ice time no matter what just because, if the coach wants to sit him he can do that. Q shouldn’t be forced to play him every single game if he doesn’t want to for the sole purpose of this dumb streak

Im asking about what supposedly Yandles father was referring to in regards to not taking care of players and families

usually that stuff won’t get leaked but I’d imagine if they treat their employees like that it would sour people

I would like to know exactly what he’s referring too though
