The only reason to acquire him would be to better the PP. The thing is Ovechkin misses the net (and the puck rings around the boards out of the zone) so damn much that I could see Crosby and Malkin getting frustrated with him.

Kessel did that a lot when he first got to the Pens, and had to really learn when to pick and choose when to shoot because it was clear that Sid and Geno were losing their collective patience. You could probably make a case that Kessel doesn't shoot enough on the PP now because of it.

I just don't see the upside considering the cost that the Penguin's organization would have to bear to get him to Pittsburgh.
