The first time I understood what the Stanley Cup was all about was back in 1975. Of course I've wanted guys like Perreault, Mogilny, Lafontaine, Hasek, Briere, Miller - heroes of MY team - to win this thing playing in this town, but Ovie is one of those guys I've wanted to win a cup just as much as any of my home town heroes for all these years.

I'm lucky to have seen so many great players win the Stanley Cup and Ovie is yet another great player to finally get it done.

Meh. Dionne, Sundin, Bure, Iginla etc were better IMO. Just be looking at active players - Karlsson, Sedins (kinda), Luongo, Lundqvist.. Joe's up there though
