It's really quiet. Chicago crowd is dead. It was never like that at the old stadium.

Toews is back to being himself as well.

He talked about working on his game in the off-season, especially his skating. Short summers from Cup wins meant he usually used that time for healing/resting and continued to do that even when missing the playoffs gave him more time.

Last year he decided to use that time for training and it's really paid dividends.

Ironically enough the exact same thing has happened with me over time.

But even at the height of my displeasure with Edwards that feeling never reached the point I'm currently at with Brickley. I can't even do a full minute of listening him talk anymore.

Almost as bad as, but not quite..... Hughson and Simpson stroking the leafs.

We had pick #17 and drafted Nathan Beaulieau. We didn't have another pick until the 4th round. Some teams passed on him 2, 3 times. Chicago did it 4 times.

Our 2nd round pick was traded for Dominic Moore...I wonder if we would have selected Kucherov.

Probably not we were in love with USHL/Q projects at the time...At least we got Gallagher in 2010!

Kucherov is their best player, but the team's central pillar is still with Stamkos, Point and Johnson manning the middle. Same with Washington having Backstrom, Kuznetsov and, to a lesser extent, Eller.
