Pro football is doing a lot to curb the excessive violence.

So has NHL, how many fights happen anymore? How many brawls? How many knee-on-knees? The NHL game has never been as speed & skill focused yet, there’s little to no interest in the product in the US - even from a media standpoint of generating headlines, except....when there’s a violent incident.

I’ll be curious to see the Caps / NYR ratings on NBC...might be the highest ratings of the season

Boxing has faded because the vastly superior MMA has come around. There’s still a huge demand for violence.
