For how talented he is, I'm having trouble finding a guy who is a bigger "low key" scumbag than Kucherov. He's a dirty dirty player. I know some will say Marchand but that's part of his role and I get that/appreciate that. Kucherov is this "skilled" player who is just a huge piece of shit.

Well I was thinking most of you were way premature counting the Isles out after Game 1. I wound up being premature counting them out after Game 2, my goodness.

The Lightning cannot blow this series or heads need to roll, although this may well have been like our Game 3 against them only without a crowd, but with the obligatory goonery.

They all get away with so much bullshit. If you're a superstar, you can basically do anything you want. Crosby is a piece of shit sometimes too. Remember that time he chopped off Marc Methot's finger? I member

Yeah, I think it's just that Kucherov is more of a consistent piece of shit. He intentionally does stuff. I doubt Crosby meant to hack off Methots finger. You're not wrong though.

Losing Point can’t be overlooked, moving Cirelli up really reduces the scoring completely to the what’s left of a top line and the TDL jam line. How many teams can win in the playoffs without 2/3 of their top line/top 3 scorers?

What the hell is even the point of slashing the guy at the knee on an empty net five feet away OTHER THAN to be a dirty POS? It's not as if even hacking the guy's leg off would have prevented the goal at that point.

New Jersey(No Fanz!)
anyway, that was a big win by the Isles.

And Kucherov continues to show that, like Hedman, he's a piece of sh-t.

The Isles are still behind the 8-ball though as they have to win the next game to make it a series again.

But today was a good start.

There is no point. Kucherov just has temper tantrums anytime things don't go their way or they lose. He's a douchebag. What bothers me is that it comes across like he's a f***ing asshole even outside the context of a hockey game. What kind of person who's not a flaming bag of dicks behaves this way consistently?

I didn't catch the end of the game. Will Kucherov be suspended? It would be one hell of a task to win without Point, Stamkos and Kucherov...

Probably not because A) he's a star, and B) there was no bad result out of the play. If Pageau had gotten hurt, B would have overridden A and Kucherov would be out for the series.

Kucherov is a dirty player. But I don’t think guys are “thinking” when they do that stuff. It’s temper and impulsive. He really needs to break those habits. Don’t be slashing guys ankles, wrists and knees. If I’m the league, given his history, I’d suspend him a game and let him know it’s a series next time he does it. If that doesn’t stop him, nothing will.

Without Stamkos and Point, I don’t see Tampa winning the cup. Whoever wins the west will take them out, is my bet, unless they have at least one of those two players back . . . and even then, it’s even money on whoever comes out of the west.

Tampa is too light a team at its best, that’s their vulnerability and it’s also why they resort to the dirty stuff, the slashing, head hunting and spearing, to make up for the lack of weight. A series with a seriously more physical team is always tough for them. And it also always counts how such a series is refereed and how well the other team’s power play can make them pay.

The Isles power play needs to be better for them to win this series. Their PK too.

I fell asleep at the end of the game last night and need to watch a couple of those later goals before my review.

Goals against review for Friday’s game

Lightning vs Islanders: 4 goals against Vasilevskiy, no chance on any. 3 goals against Varlamov, no chance on any. So that’s 7 goals scored on goalies, 0 are stoppable. That’s 0% of the goals scored were stoppable. Combined save percentages were .903%.

The Beauvillier goal was borderline, as it went through Vasilevskiy’s arm and he gets a piece of it, but it was one timed and from just a few feet in front of the net.

No stoppable goals, so no softy of the night.
