Bladerunner? The bubble playoffs feel austere but Bladerunner struck me as a decaying society with technology covered in layers of grime.
shorthand for dystopian in any of its guises - as I said, I am having a continued sense of unreality, of something weird, watching the current tourney. But you are completely right, the decay and grime of Bladerunner are Completely missing here. If I had an edit, I would revise the reference out. The dystopia here is the opposite - it’s hygienic, in a bubble, with a sense of waiting outside, and all the clubs dissociated from their cities and fans. It’s like playoffs on anti depressants?

I can attest to the Lightning part. I live about an hour south of Tampa and while stores may have small Lightning sections, you would be hard pressed to find someone wearing one out and about. If I find a hockey fan down here, I feel like it’s a long lost brother... if I see someone wearing a Devils shirt, I practically run up and hug them

…..have you run into @Bleedred anywhere?

I see a Stamkos Tshirt once in a while. Or something Lightning related that someone is wearing.

Spoke to a Devils fan about 1.5 months ago who was on vacation from Pennsylvania. He spotted me wearing either a Devils shirt or hat that day. I don’t even remember what I had on. I spoke to a Bruins fan fairly recently who was surprised I was a hockey fan too when he saw me wearing something Devils.

My weirdest interaction with someone actually wearing Devils attire was about 5 years ago when I was walking around the mall. He had a Henrique T-shirt on and I thought he’d be a big fan. Turns out he was just from Jersey and only wearing the shirt cause he was from Jersey. Said he didn’t even follow hockey. I know I’ve posted about that on here before, probably back when it happened. I thought that was a bit lame.

Well he’d better, he is younger. Greene’s disappearing hair line in his late 20’s was bad enough :P

For anyone who wasn’t watching, Coleman scored a typical Coleman goal. Was a thing of beaut that makes me miss him every time.

I honestly tuned in late and didn't know that Coleman scored a goal. Good thing I know of a streaming site that still has the replay of the game so I was able to go back and re-watch it over and over again.

That goal was Typical Pickles.

He was at least 50% responsible for the goal against just a few seconds before too. To be honest, he has looked pretty meh for Tampa, but I guess that's what a guy like Coleman looks like on a team that good.
