It’s hard to see any of the Islanders, Stars or Golden Knights winning the cup this year and not the Lightning.

I guess I’d say Vegas wouldn’t be too surprising though, even though I picked Dallas to beat them. But I think Vegas has a better chance over Tampa then Dallas does.

Tampa got in the Isles heads.

They passed up so many shots near the end. That Toews pass while wide open in the slot on the 2 on 1 should be unforgivable.

Tamps is still dirty as shit. Killorn needs to be gone for 2 games and Maroon? who checked Nelson in the back of the head should have been ejected for that.

You really get a sense of how tall Hedman is when he stands next to some of their forwards. And with that frame and those long arms and stick just think how far away he can stand from someone and still spear them in the groin.

Greene is the 10th oldest player in the league. He just isn’t any good anymore. He’s pretty much at the end of his rope. So it’s not shocking seeing these things happen to him. If he plays in the NHL again after this year then he’ll probably be the 5th-6th oldest player in the league. Especially with all those old goalies (Miller, Anderson, Smith) that are in expiring contracts likely being out of the league.

Any time a playoff game ends with a late regulation goal I get PTSD to those Carolina series. Actually this was also kinda reminiscent of Game 2 2006 since we got blown up in Game 1 and lost late in Game 2 a la the Isles this year (well I think we got tied late then lost in OT).

Any time a playoff game ends with a late regulation goal I get PTSD to those Carolina series. Actually this was also kinda reminiscent of Game 2 2006 since we got blown up in Game 1 and lost late in Game 2 a la the Isles this year (well I think we got tied late then lost in OT).

That was the game where we took the lead late with like 30 or 40 seconds left in regulation, then they tied it with seconds left and we lost in OT.

that game 2 was by far the biggest choke job in devils playoff history that I can think of. To take the lead in the final min then let them tie it while winning the face off no less and losing it overtime

Islanders vs Lightning: 2 goals against Varlamov, 1 stoppable. 1 goal against Vasilevskiy, no chance.

So that’s 3 goals scored on goalies, 1 is stoppable. That’s 33% of the goals scored were stoppable. Combined save percentages were .939%.

The Rangers are absolutely going to go for it next season. They'll have Lafreniere and Kakko on ELCs, and they'll use the space they get from Lunqvist's buyout to try to address their hideous defense.

Never forget that piece of shit celebrated on our ice when they knocked us out in 2008. I've never heard Chico so angry before nor since till this day. I hope he remains King Nothing forever. f*** him.

They already have 7.5m in cap penalties in 20-21 from previous buy outs and Hank’s buyout only takes off 3m from his 8.5m cap hit the first year. It makes sense to buy him out because they likely want to keep Georgiev but they still have all sorts of issues until these penalties lighten up. Losing Staal and Smith after this year will help as well.
