“Hahaha wow is Chiarelli such a piss poor negotiator.” He said for the bajillionth time.
I didn't know you could sign an ELC at 27Koskinen's is too high but it's also not an entry level contract, which I believe is what Francouz has signed. Another account on Twitter is saying Francouz got a little more than the $690K Dater reported. There is probably some performance bonus money included.
Michal Kempny was 26 when he signed an ELC with Chicago. Jan Rutta was 27.ELCs are only for 25 and younger players
You’re right, the age is lifted for European players for some reason to 27.Not true.

The other GM is a superior negotiator, but not because of this signing of Francouz is in fact on an ELC.Soooo are we still claiming that other GM is a superior negotiator because of this signing?
Yes because 2.5 for an unproven backup is still too high.Soooo are we still claiming that other GM is a superior negotiator because of this signing?
CapFriendly has added the contract based on Dater's tweet, so it's listed as unconfirmed for now. But if the deal is one-way like Dater reported then that would mean it is a standard contract, right? There aren't any one-way ELCs as far as I know.
Francouz will be 28 when the contract becomes official on July 1, maybe he's ineligible for an ELC? I have no clue how any of this works.

Well he’s not wrong because the Francouz contract is not an ELC.But other posters were in fact using that signing as a reason why, which proves you wrong.
“Any player of the age of 24 or younger as of September 15th in the year that he signs his contract is subject to the terms of an Entry Level contract. For Europeans, the age is lifted up to 27.”
Francouz will be 28 as of September 15th so
I’m still right that this is likely not an ELC And Sakic is beyond a better negotiator than Chia. unless I’m missing something here. @nabob
Yes it is. He is 27, it has to be an ELC. You can quote your earlier post for the reasoning.Well he’s not wrong because the Francouz contract is not an ELC.
Reread my post and then quote me because your point is invalid and you didn’t read right. You're missing the fact that he is 27...
Colorado signed Francouz who is easily the better goalie. Wonder what his salary for the year will be?
You don’t have to watch to know that .946 sv% in 37 games is better than .937 sv% in 31 (amongst many other stats).Have you watched a single second of Francouz playing hockey?

I guess Brossoits .928 with a 1.99 proves he was a better goalie than Talbot 2 seasons ago.You don’t have to watch to know that .946 sv% in 37 games is better than .937 sv% in 31 (amongst many other stats).
I mean I put games played for a reason.I guess Brossoits .928 with a 1.99 proves he was a better goalie than Talbot 2 seasons ago.
I mean I can go in depth to why Francouz has been better than Koskinen recently.Cherry picking a stat and ignoring all context is just about the worst way to make a case for anything.
