Meaningless game or not, it would be nice if the Oilers didn't get owned again by Calgary's "lesser" prospects. This is the only thing the Oilers have on the Flames so it would be nice to see a goal, give me one goal. Not too much to ask.

Guys with a chance are saving themselves for main camp. Guys with no chance know they have no chance. They barely invited anyone so no one is out there trying to earn a look at big camp.

Why do we even bring in such bad invitees like Starrett and Keeler? We have one pairing with De Jong and Desharnais. Desharnais is HORRIBLE. No hockey iq, no speed, no passing ability. Only thing he has going for him is size and he's right handed.

Why do there lives depend on it? For guys like Benson and Marody it’s a warmup skate for main camp, for the rest it’s the first competitive hockey in months.

I can’t believe the people freaking out about this, these games are glorified scrimmages.
