Talbot was terrific and honestly the team was lucky today, but unless we want to rush McLellan getting sacked the main thing was they managed to get their first win. Hopefully they'll now feel a bit more relaxed in the next game. I still have to say there's some fundamental issues the team needs to work on if they want to be a serious playoff contender as today's performance won't be enough in the long run.

Yamamoto shows why he needs a good long look here. The amount of tenaciousness he showed today always results in good things.

Tenaciousness is not enough to be an NHLer unfortunately. It's why Liam Reddox was never a regular. Tell me about Yamo when he actually produces something that looks dangerous against an NHL team.

Still worrisome to see the PP formation make zero f***ing sense.

Also worrisome that McDavid is literally 100% of our offense.

Though Draisaitls line was the worst line again. Fancy stats back that up.
