I could not believe (unlike even 2 seasons ago) that I couldn't even sell my upper deck ticket. I wound up giving it to some kid. Even the few people I offered the ticket for free, around the Costco, said no. WTH? Is it not to uncommon this season.

Not surprising. I can't remember the last time my account manager actually called *me* to chat about renewal and my thoughts on the season. Things must look pretty bad.

Anyone have any idea how cheap scalpers are selling lower bowl tickets this year? Best deal I've gotten (from a past seasons) is $120 for a pair of lower-bowl tickets in the offensive zone.

Anyone think I'd have any luck grabbing a pair of Leafs tickets from scalpers for cheap right around puck drop? Upper bowl would be more in my price range. Or is this unlikely due to it being a premium game?

I think it'll be a lot tougher to get tickets to a game vs Toronto. If you were asking for a game against say Dallas, you'd have no problem.

I got the same call (as did everyone I know). Sounds like account reps got their marching orders. I find the account reps at the Canucks I've dealt with to be rude, arrogant and unwilling to really help. They seem to have an attitude of "God... stop asking dumb questions. Just buy the tickets already". I guess that's what 10 years of sell-outs does to you. The didn't have to work for their renewals for 10 years and now all of a sudden they have to. They also seem to have had to hire tons of new reps to meet the demand, and they are hiring guys with BUSINESS AND MARKETING DEGREES! I've seen a few guys hired who have these marketing degrees from UBC. They don't seem to know how to deal with clients at all, and just want to sell you stuff. It feels like talking to a used car salesman or something.

Yeah same experience here. Basically all tickets are selling below face value now. Some UB4 seats maybe break even. Lower bowl is getting slaughtered. No point to renew tickets... might as well just buy them on stubhub next season if the Canucks miss the playoffs. I am holding off on my renewal until the very last minute. I want to see how these next 3 games for Canucks go. We could be out of a playoff spot and finished if we lose all 3 by Thursday.

Selling a pair to this Thursday night's game vs. Columbus (Lower Bowl Sec. 101, Row 24)
Alcohol allowed, asking $65/seat, $130 for the pair. I think face value is at twice that much LOL.

DAMN. I just bought 4 tickets in the upper bowl for almost the same price. Wish you would have posted yesterday! Good luck with selling.
