Everyone fails their drivers test the first time. At least, everyone I know did.
I failed because I was driving down a hill and was not the right speed limit the moment I hit the the speed limit sign at the bottom of said hill. I was ticked.
Though it made up for it the following time I tried. Apparently, the driver before me that day was a Chinese immigrant brought in by a priest. Didn't speak a word of English, yet still wanted to get a drivers license. When it was my turn, my instructor was happy that I simply spoke the same language as he did.
