Oh, I had that exact reaction.

It's rare that you find a Bojangles meal that is perfectly done. It's either the fries aren't cooked or seasoned correctly or the tea isn't sweetened or the biscuit is stale and rock hard or you get the ****** leftover chicken strips that no one wanted.

But when you do get that perfect meal....

The Bojangles down here in Wilmington is usually pretty spot on for me. I just ask for extra seasoning most of the time. Never had any of the other issues :yo:

So, uh...anyone want to guess which local establishment I hit up for lunch?

...aaaand my fries are cold. My biscuit is overcooked.

If you went to the one on Western near Western and Gorman that might be the problem. They routinely screwed up SOMEHOW when I was at State. It just must be that corridor. That Cookout never got my order right either.

I've had this happen enough at multiple Bojangles locations to just pass it off as an inevitability.

Likewise. 90% of the time the fries are either so overseasoned I end up drinking my sweet tea way too early or so criminally underseasoned that it's misery. Biscuit is *usually* right as opposed to being overbaked. I've also had barely done fries.

Isn't that the busiest location in the whole chain? I don't think I've ever seen it NOT have a line around the building.

Just want to let you guys know that you made me have Bojangles for lunch today.
Nothing I've ever posted on hf has had the same social impact as laughing at, "I'm A Caniac and It's Bo Time" seems to ... love it ...

Hit up the Bo at lunch today for the first time since 2007 and it was delightful. Chicken bowl + boberry muffin + sweet tea, and it was so good that it's not beyond the realm of possibility that we go back for dinner before the Fayetteville Fire Antz game ...

bojangles has been a thing here for years

you just sparked up a debate that has been lying dormant for years

also that phrase is awful and deserves every bit of ridicule it gets

Isn't that the busiest location in the whole chain? I don't think I've ever seen it NOT have a line around the building.

Busiest I've seen is where Miami Boulevard hits 70. Routinely busy any time of the day or night, to the point where they routinely have two people outside working the line, one taking orders and one running money back and forth to the register, all so they can save a few seconds at the window to turn customers faster.

And Sunday morning right after church lets out? Lawdamercy.

The ones on New Bern Ave and Atlantic Blvd often did this at lunch too.

Still, there needs to be some discussion here on the newest entrant into the fray, and perhaps the tastiest:

Legend has it that there was once a random Bojangles inside of some sort of food court in the middle of Bed-Stuy in Brooklyn, but apparently it was not quite right. I'm pretty sure I went past the spot where it used to be recently.

All I can really do is dream, unless I want to take a train to DC. There is one inside Union Station and I have been known to run inside to grab some while the train switches engines on its trip from NYC to NC. Oh the jealous looks on the faces of the other passengers...

EDIT: I looked up the location on Google Streetview, and there is now a Krispy Kreme sign there, even though the website says the only one in the state is at Penn Station. It appears to be some sort of bizarre top secret northeast testing ground for North Carolina fast food chains.
