Hate to say it, but not all of those goals on Ortio were the defence's fault. Ah well, it's the only highlight pack I've watched so far.

It will be interesting to see how the lines roll out on Friday/Saturday with all the subtractions from the team!

Looking forward to finally watching Poirier live!

Is Kulak that bad?

Just inconsistent IMO. He plays the same role as Culkin, but Culkin is doing a bit better at this level.

Last game though Kulak made some really nifty plays. He's definitely not bad, and IMO he's gonna be an NHLer. But him going to the ECHL where he's gonna be the go-to guy is the best thing for him at this moment.

Emile Poirier has 8 points in 4 games played in professional hockey. I doubt he'll stay at a 2 point per game pace, but man, do we ever need someone like him on the (real) Flames.

Elson and Wolf both scored off of great shots.

Wolf was really impressive this game. He got robbed by Joey Mac not long after scoring his goal, after toe-dragging through a D-man. I didn't know he had that kinda of offense in him.

Came here to post the exact same thing. Like you said, highly unlikely that he'll keep up his current pace, but 4g and 4a over his first 4 pro games is definitely encouraging.. also keep in mind, the injury that kept him out of action all summer and up until only well, 2 games ago.. Poirier is obviously chomping at the bit, and wants to be taken seriously. If he continues to impress, his AHL career indeed may be a short one, for all the right reasons. All the tools and skill to be our number one RW'er imo.. I mean, just imagine the damage a potential combo of Johnny-Monny-Poirier could wreak on opposing teams in the longrun..

Take THAT, Joey Stacks!

:D

That's if you ignore the playoffs. It's more like 9 in 7 games

ADK has signed Nathan Moon to a PTO. Moon is a 5'11, 195 pound centerman who has 5 points (1g, 4a) in 4 games in the ECHL this year with Colorado and Evansville. He was acquired by the Eagles on the 28th of October in exchange for defenseman Daniel Johnson.

Also I missed this but Brodie Reid a 6'1, 195lb RW was also signed to a PTO and has already played for ADK.

Nice, getting a couple of vets in there.
I'd use the term veteran loosely with Moon. Moon is 24 with only 86 games in the AHL. Reid fits it a bit better as he is 25 with 157 AHL games, almost all of which were as a teammate of Acolatse in the Sharks system.
