Take Kostin, put him in the AHL.

Finally, we could find out how much Klim can a Klimchuk chuck if a Klimchuk could chuck Klim.

I think this is a question for the ages like asking "how many roads must a man walk down"?
We may never know the answer to that question.

If he wants to play against older players why wouldn't he just stay in the KHL?

At least he's interested in coming to NA. God I hope we don't pick him.

Can't adjust to the North American game in Russia. That statement seems to be a clear message that he wants to be an NHLer.

I'm not sure Kostin will be there anymore, McPhee might know a Russian or two that could help out his transition.

Doubt we take a Russian. This team hasnt taken many of them over the past half decade. And there's been some good ones.

I'm okay with whoever we pick. Our scouting staff has been as good as anyone in the league since 2011.

Someone pointed it out in the Kostin thread, but I am almost positive Vegas is drafting him at either 13 or 15.

They already signed the top(?) KHL free agent and are in talks to bring another high end Russian KHL player over.

If I were to put money on where he ends up I'd say Vegas.

Happy draft day Flames fans! So as I give credit to in the write up, a lot of my picks were influenced by what I heard Lou, Cosentino and Boomer say doing their mock draft the other night. Difficult to go the other way when you hear them say they have it on good authority. But there are still a lot of differences. So this is my top 62 list and final mock draft, give it a read if you guys get a chance! Hope you get what you want 16...and as an Oilers fan I'm fearing that 16 could be packaged with something to get Travis Hamonic and then I might cry haha!

Does the draft actually start at 7pm E.T or is it, like the NBA draft yesterday, 7pm aka 7:30pm for the first pick?

Staying up till 4am (local time) on back2back nights. - gotta love it

I'd be surprised if they even made the first pick by 7:30  honestly you may be better off just sleeping and waking up at like 5 or 5:30

It starts on TV at 330 Pacific (630 ET) Don't know if that's a pre-show or what.

Might be the case, but it´s tradition xD

Will be the 3rd year of me watching the draft.

And honestly I´ve got nothing better to do, I graduated 2 weeks ago, so literally nothing else to do.
(I even watched the NBA draft yesterday and I havent seen a full basketball game yet so....)
Its gonna be lots of fun tonight, I expect lots of trades to happen.

Let's get a tally going, five fallers ALL on the table at 16, who you got?

A) Casey Middelstadt (concerns about pullups)
B) Timothy Liljegren (Concerns about floor)
C) Martin Necas (concerns about obscurity)
D) Lias Andersson (Concerns about ceiling)
E) Nick Suzuki (Concerns abot skating)

Pick one. Only one. The other four becomes a Leaf, A Bruin, A Shark, A Blue

If Mittelstadt falls, Treliving better sprint to the goddamn podium to select him.
