1. The only reason she's not part of the suit is because she didn't want to agree to buzbee's fees. I'm sure he's willing to go with contingency fees and she didn't like his terms (likely 30-40% of any settlement). Don't be fooled. She's going to file. She just wants better terms.

2. The rest is one side of the story, so far with no evidence of any illegal activity. Creepy? Sure. Illegal? Not in her story at least.

We'll see about the legality of his actions once the criminal charges are filed. As for her not joining any suit, that's her right. she has yet to file anything so we'll see if she does. If she doesn't, will that make you look at this situation differently?

Like I said in my first post, if even one goes to the police first with anything of substance instead of just going the civil route, then and only then will I believe it's not a money grab.

IMO based off 20 years of experience in big law, Buzbee has no real evidence, no smoking gun. He's trying this case in the media in hopes Watson will cave and settle. Happens all the time.

Sure and like I said in an earlier post, a lot of sexual assault victims don't go to the police for a multitude of reasons. I hardly think that whether this is true or false hinges on it becoming a criminal suit. While this still has some hair on it because of the possible connection the lawyer and the team have, the sheer volume of women, all licensed massage therapists BTW, with the near identical stories of their interactions with him is staggering to me. Way too much smoke for there to not be a fire.

im also not sure some of these complaints are even technically criminal- like the one independent from Buzbee who talked to SI. That woman doesn’t even seem to be after money- she just wants massage therapists to be safe. In that story Deshaun is an absolute creep but what exactly is the crime he could be charged with for humping the air? *maybe* indecent exposure but that would be impossible to prove and the plaintiff would probably face a whole lot of harassment from the public that she doesn’t deserve

These are my feelings.

To continue with their metaphor.......Sure, there's smoke....there's also a fire. Doesn't mean it's arson though.

Didn't two of the lawsuits mention forced oral sex? That would certainly be criminal.

The guy treats masseuses like escorts. I’m not sure where this falls criminally but they all have valid civil cases. He could hire escorts but he doesn’t want to do that he wants to hire legal professional masseuses and try and get them to illegally perform sexual activities on him.

There is no chance the guy is being set up and we can’t take the PR hit. He’s probably stuck in Houston now. They’ll just suspend him for a few games and move on.

Just back to the draft for a second. I know we desperately need a QB but damnit I want Micah Parsons at 15

people keep saying stuff about Parsons’ character but the only incidents I can find being referenced are honestly not that bad. I’m sure he’s an asshole but tbh idc as long as he’s not a felon

it’s like people trying to paint Alex Verdugo as a rapist when his “crime” was filming a fight at a late high school/early college party. I think Parsons threw water on a freshman.

Oh that’s a pretty clear cut sexual assault, I wasn’t referring to those ones though. Like idk what possible charges some of these girls could realistically pursue (like the girl in the SI story for instance)- because of this I don’t find them going the civil route over the criminal route eyebrow raising. It actually makes sense to me.

Agreed, which is why it doesn't sound like she's going to file a suit. It seemed like you said, she wanted to get the story out so others were aware of his MO. The insane part is that he contacted her multiple times after, with no apparent recollection she'd already been someone he'd mistreated. That to me says this is something he's been doing for so long that he doesn't even recall how many women he's made feel this way. Not a good look, and that's outside the criminal aspects of some of the reports. He's a serial abuser of women. He hires them under false pretenses and then things escalate quickly.

Would you be happy if you had a daughter that was a licensed massage therapist and she told you she was taking him on as a new client?

It would mean she's gainfully-employed, so I'd be ecstatic.

In all seriousness, you're going to have to explain the relevance to the discussion. Nobody is arguing that he looks good here. All we're trying to get across is the behaviors being described aren't criminal (outside of the one potential "forced oral" claim which appears to be an outlier with credibility issues).

The point is that as a man, you can easily dismiss this kind of behavior as him being a creeper and call it a day. The women who were going through this in real life though don't get the chalk it up as bad behavior and write it off though. They experienced an unwanted sexual advance from a very large and wealthy professional athlete. I'm sure it made quite a few of them feel very uncomfortable and like something bad happening was imminent. I think the behavior he displayed by all accounts multiple times to multiple women shows a pattern of dehumanizing them and treating them like they're only here for his needs and wants and nothing else. It's a really f***ed up way to think he's this cavalier about how abusive he is towards women in the massage therapy profession.
