ah a stalker on the public FA thread... I don't see me mozeying on over to the rangers boards

its ok, you can sleep well tonight

You’re in EVERY thread on here talking down everything the Rangers do, he’s clearly not wrong.

And then when someone calls you out on your nonsense, you resort to personal attacks and your usual “YoUrE mAd,” “ReLaX” or “YoU tAkE tHiS tOo SeRiOuSlY” remarks.

You’ve been doing this for years too. Strange, because the last I checked, the Rangers and Blackhawks have never been rivals, at least not in the expansion era, when any of us were alive to see it.

its a very good deal. I dont see him producing at this rate in the future when the Rangers actually have a larger group of capable defenseman. Hopefully in 2 years they can sign him to another reasonable deal.

We actually have 7,623,534 left to sign both if perf bonus numbers hold (no Kratvsov, Miller or Barron breaking camp). I think Lemmy will come in around 1.5 tops and Strome 4.2. With a 22 man roster, we’ll have about 2 mil left over for call ups or to bank. Not too shabby in this crap environment. Buying out Hank hurts from a sentimental perspective and giving up a 2nd to move Staal are the only moves that had to be somewhat engineered. We were fortunate looking at this fu-ca-ca trade market.

I’ve accounted for 3,950,000 in perf bonus withholding Based upon the anticipated line up. The balance of that, 6.1125 mil is captured within the 7.5% perf bonus allowance. Do you know how it works? No shame if you don’t, I had to get a refresher course from one of our more CBA attuned nerds

Hopefully he has a full NTC so I don't have to see any more awful proposals with him.

Movement clauses aren't allowed for RFA years, so be prepared to see more trade proposals for a while, as ADA has 3 more years of RFA status. That said, I think it's unlikely that he finishes this contract with the Rangers, so your pain shouldn't last that long.

So we have 1 year of silence before we get ADA (extended) to whatever teams spam again, always something.

If you're telling that a team is allowed to exceed the cap by 7.5% due to ELCs perf. bonuses, no I wasnt aware of that... the entire CBA 2013/2020 is a lot more confusing that the 2005 :help:

To be clear, teams are allowed to exceed the cap by 7.5% with potential bonuses, not actual earned bonuses. If a team ends the year having spent 81 mil out of 81.5, and players earned 3 mil in bonuses, 2.5 mil of that would roll over to the following year.

Yes but keep in mind, these are bonuses that have not yet been realized so it’s more of a book keeping exercise than actual dollars. Think about it like an Insurance company having to withhold enough capital to cover their policies, policies that haven’t been claimed yet and may never will.

Is he really that bad defensively? What are his advanced stats like? The games I've seen he's looked solid in his own end and world class in the o-zone.

One of my favorite active rangers, really seems like a steal of a contract keeping him rfa after and all.

He is decent defensively.

Posters saying he cant find his defensive zone are overblown statements usually made by fans of other teams who don’t watch him but see his point total and assume he must not be playing any defense to get those types of numbers.

DeAngelo benefited from Panarin just like Strome. A lot of NYR don't want to admit it, but Panarin's game opened a lot of space for DeAngelo to pinch in from the point. A few months back I did the breakdown of DeAngelo's points and scoring chances with Panarin (and to some extent Zibanejad who had a career year). This was a smart contract by Gorton. A bridge that keeps him an RFA. If DeAngelo has finds similar success as last season, this is a huge win. If DeAngelo doesn't, well we're going to have just 1 year left on the deal.

My opening sentence was "DeAngelo benefited from Panarin just like Strome", but who cares if a player benefits from another player? Good players make other players better. In the end, if it's working, it doesn't matter.

acting early on with staal was gorton's best move. cap space comes at inflationary rates nowadays. tampa could break apart.

Ironic, considering you’re the one telling people to “relax” because you get called out for your nonsense in every thread.

If you want an echo chamber, why are you on here?

It works both ways. DeAngelo’s O-Zone entry and D-Zone exit numbers are great, individual of Panarin.

I’m not saying Panarin needs DeAngelo, but they help each other.
