I'm sure you are just as quick to dismiss Pinto's performance, or Norris'

Berggren looks like a steal, there is no harm in admitting it. No guarantee we would have taken him had we kept the pick, so its no shot at the trade at least for me.
I don’t have to admit something I don’t believe.

and im sure you'd have that same belief had we picked him in 2018.

He progressed very well. Better than a bunch of the first rounders taken before him. Time will tell, but I'd be pretty pleased with him if he were a sens prospect.

There’s a difference between being pleased with his development and guaranteeing that he’ll be a good nhl player, huge steal, or making us regret the trade even more. I agree with the former but not the latter at this point. Way too early.

That's his point. You'd be calling it a steal if it was an Ottawa senators prospect.
No. I am a believer that there are no steals until they prove themselves in the nhl. Even a guy like Norris. I think his production is more impressive playing in the AHL, but he still needs to prove his nhl worth. Rundblad and to a lesser extent, Silfverberg, have shown that you shouldn’t get overly excited about big statlines before coming to the nhl.

No one's guaranteed to be an NHLer but production is one of th best indicators of NHL success.

Say all the picks from 20 to 30 play in the same league and they are all putting up .5 ppg aside from the guy drafted 27th who is at 1 ppg. Would you not consider that a steal relative to the players taken around him?

No I would not. What’s the point of calling somebody a steal before they make the league? People said Tolvanen was a huge steal and he is a bust now

but I wasn’t even talking about steals. I was just pointing out that it’s a bit silly to imply what was being implied about this player

Team Sweden WJC 2021 loses 2 good ones testing positive past the cutoff for travel. ( I had the rules posted somewhere, can't find them now)

Just shows how good this past draft was with how well so many late picks are playing at the moment. Its going to go down as one of the best drafts in a long time.

A couple undrafted players out of the USHL having good starts in the NCAA as well. Eligible next year so we'll see how they do.

I remember hearing McGuire rave about the depth of the draft. Was predicting an above average amount of NHLers going between rounds 3-7. Obviously early but he's looking good with that take.

So these guys are playing for their club teams.. take a break to come to the WJC and test positive.. Tells me inadequate testing is going on within their leagues and teams

Carter Savoie gwg vs UND .. that's 5 goals for him now.

Sporting a shooting % of 40%, 5/6 points are PP, and only has 1 shot at even strength, doesn't seem to be doing much outside the PP. Think his numbers will come crashing soon
