There's a lot of shit talk at Babcock for not playing Matthews more in the 3rd period and I sort of understand it but then you look at his game in the first 2 periods and it wasn't particularly good or anything. Sportsnet went through a highlight pack of 3-4 plays at the end of the 2nd trying to make it seem like he was dominant and playing a 200 foot game when he gave up defensively on the 2 first goals by the Bruins. He had chances but you could say the same of Hyman or many other Leafs players.

Personally I would have played Matthews more but I think you can make an argument for why he played Tavares and Marner more.
