Fleury is closer to getting into the HHOF than any player below him on the list.
Considering Lowe got in, you're probably right - but I don't know what point that proves other than the selection committee acts like the Count from Sesame Street in analyzing players.

That's your opinion which means nothing to those on the HHOF selection committee.

Stanley Cup participation award
Fleury when he's retired will likely have more than 500 wins in his career he might reach 600 wins. He was an major factor in his team getting to the final at least 3 times 2008,2009,2018 Winning the cup in 2009 . In 2017 he was also a factor in his team winning the cup. In 2016 despite the team winning he wasn't a factor .

He will be inducted into the HHOF .
Where he's ranked on the list isn't wrong .

Osgood when he's retired has more than 400 wins in his career . He was a major factor in his team getting to the final at least 5 times 1995, 1997, 1998, 2007, 2008. Winning the cup in 1998 and 2008 . In 1997 he was also a factor in his team winning the cup.

Osgood also has 2nd place Vezina vote (top 10 for Vezina 3x) vs. 4th for Fleury (top 10 for Vezina 4x).

For goalies with 300+ games played
Fleury's career .912 save pct ranks 25th of all goalies between 2005-2020
Osgoods's career .906 save pct ranks 28th of all goalies between 1994-2010

How Fleury is considered any different than Osgood is beyond me.

Would you rank Osgood ahead of Stamkos, Mackinnon, Matthews and Lecavalier?

Bad list. I love Matts but Auston is on a whole other level. He's easily better than several on this list ahead of him already.

Fleury's getting into the HoF isn't he? Probably before goalies with better individual statistics and hardware...

Not sure how you can say this so confidently. Nearly identical ppg except one guy did it consistently for somewhere around 1000 more games. Matthew's is the shiny new toy but throwing sundin under the bus to pump him up makes no sense in anyway.

Fleury already has 65 more wins than Osgood and Fleury's career isn't over when it is Fleury will likely have 150 more wins in his career than Osgood has . Fleury lead an expansion team to the Stanley Cup Final, Unless your willing to concede that Pittsburgh's teams 2008,2009,2016, 2017 and Vegas's team 2018 . Were as good as Detroit's teams 1995,1997,1998, 2002 ,2008. Your comparison has no merit .

Detroit didn't make the final 1n 2007. They did in 2002 assuming that's what you meant .

My bad I meant 2008 & 2009. Osgood wasn't around in 2002. The 2008 and 2009 teams are not much different than Fleury's teams. I would argue 1998 wasn't too different either, which were the 3 biggest seasons of Osgood's contribution. Comparing those seasons to Fleury's 2009, 2016, 2017, 2018 teams, its subjective but yeah I wouldn't say there's a huge difference. Fleury played behind the top 2 centers on a team that made the playoffs every year since 2007, his teams have continually been at the top of the league. The Red Wings of 1995 - 2010 (sans HOF teams 2001-2005, when Osgood wasn't around) are similar to the Penguins between 2006-2017.

Osgood also wasn't trash in the playoffs like Fleury was for half his career. Between 2010-2015, Fleury was the biggest reason the Penguins didn't make the finals.

Fleury is polarizing.
He's the top player from the best draft class in history (in terms of hardware).
But he's arguably worse than a lot of his contemporaries in his position (would you take peak Fleury over peak Price/Rask/Luongo?)
I'd easily take Fleury over Price or Luongo.
Rask...not as easy.

When his career is over the difference in wins between the two won't be close . Fleury is easily going to reach 500 wins for his career within the next two seasons that will be over 100 more wins than Osgood and Fleury's career still likely won't be over.

Fleury will be inducted into the HHOF .
Where Fleury is ranked on the list is fair.

Fair enough, 500 wins is certainly impressive and speaks to his longevity. He does have the huge edge there, and if you value that a lot I can see the argument at least for HHOF

Fleury's problem started in the 2010 playoffs when his GAA went up as a series got longer. Just watched the 7 games the Pens played Tampa in 2011 minus Crosby & Malkin and that became typical playoff Fleury. Started the series strong ended it weakly and got outplayed by journeyman Dwayne Roloson. He will be in the HHOF though and have his number retired by Pittsburgh or Vegas???
