I think by "balance" that stat basically reflects how easily they fall down if hit. If that's the case, I think 80 is pretty fair.

But agree in terms of the English language definition of balance, Karlsson's probably one of the best in the league. Does a ton of gymnastics training for specifically that reason.

I think the problem is that they assign the same weighting to every category. Like, they give the players scores out of 100 for slap shot power, hitting strength, stamina, etc, but at the end they just take an average an add it all up, whereas in real life if we were to give players rankings out of 100 for their skills, some would be worth more in the overall picture.

Burns is a PWF/D in this game, but more likely just stays a PWF.

Karlsson and Doughty you can directly compare to Kronwall, which is obviously wrong. Even wings fans wouldn't take Kronwall over either of those two guys.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they want to balance out the average rating for each position for each team to make the match ups more even.

You choose Burns at 89 over Seabrook at 89? Burns is a forward and a wildcard, Seabrook we know is a #2

I think the problem is that they assign the same weighting to every category. Every attribute has different weighting and it depends on each player type.

All around or physical players get high overalls while "soft" or unphysical players get lower overalls.

Strength and Balance seem to be the highest weighted.
