Soundtrack is old and it's only been a few hours. In my GM connected league, after the first advance Chara and Booth just disappeared from their teams, so that made the GM's of those teams really mad. After I played quite a bit of HU... I got a bonus of 30 pucks.... yes.... 30 pucks.................. And the gameplay is painful, can't find a good setting from "high impact" to "hardcore simulation"

So on the plus side, simming on PS3 is fluid, fast, and usable again.

On the down side, simming has reverted back to the NHL 10/11 simming in which it didn't make any sense. I went on multiple 15+ game losing streaks. Multiple.

On gm connected, the first advance still took 8 minutes. Better than the 30 but still...

Also in regards to simming, has anyone else noticed you get shutout ALOT? I went on a 12 game losing streak and 5 of them were shutouts...

I want to live stream how bad this simming is. I have statistically a great team and my record is 4 - 25 -11.

FOUR - TWENTYFIVE - ELEVEN.

How to you cancel something once you start it? For example in NHL 13 if you were holding the pass button you could hit the LB button to cancel it.

Now you end up doing some idiotic deke out of nowhere..

Interesting fact: this is the first time a father and son are in an NHL video game.

Anthony Brodeur is already on the Olympiques.

My bad, I forgot Sami & Kasperi Kapanen. None of them is currently in the NHL thought.

Add Duncan Keith to the list of disappearing players list after every advance on gm connected.... Kinda ruining the game mode

I haven't been getting too many of the forced fights on hardcore sim, except for one where I laid a guy out with David Clarkson and then Slater Koekkoek jumped in and I one-punched him

I don't know if it was worth $60, but the offline game modes are definitely more fun than they were in 13. I only played a couple of OTP matches, but it was more or less the same as ever - a bunch of people who have no earthly idea what they're doing to the point that CPU teammates would probably be more useful, haha. I like what they finally did with the lobby, though, allowing everyone to pick their positions on the team selection screen instead of having that ridiculous button-mashing contest to try and get the position you want.

I'm loving it so far, but there is one thing that bugs me really much. Faceoffs. I can't get my timing right. Am I supposed to move RS up/down immediatly when the ref makes a move to drop the puck, or just before when the puck hits the ice (more authentic way)?? I play EASHL, have played center since '11 and my FO% used to be 60+. Now it's barely above 50. I feel like the counters are not effective anymore, the regular backhand dominates. Now it's more about who has better timing on their backhands instead of countering and outsmarting your opponent, and that's what used to make it fun for me. Now every faceoff is a frustrating battle. It's not about my attributes either, I have 95 FO rating, 85 hand-eye and 85 strenght.

I tried asking this on the EA forums but never really got any useful answers. Help would be much appreciated, this is killing the fun for me because I'm constantly frustrated when I can't win draws.

I played the demo and was pretty 'eh' about it. I was one of those guys who bought it on release day no matter what but not this year.

But stupid me forgot it was coming out and that I could play the full game this past weekend (with season ticket). I would have liked to give the full game another shot.

So now that pre-order deals are gone, what's my best money-saving option? Wait until a black friday $29.99 deal?

On first play in offline modes, I'm pretty happy.

The one thing that really bothers me is the abundance of typos and bad grammar. In Live The Life, I found FOUR major errors in ONE interview response option. There's just no excuse for that.
It's just sloppy production.

Another year of absolute horse ****. Why does my cpu doddle around while the opposing cpu literally does everything for the other player on VS? Extremely frustrating.
