[fieldset="Saturday June 21st 2014 - Kristo brings the Calder home"]
For the second year in a row, a rookie from the Montreal Canadiens has won the Calder Memorial Trophy. After Jonathan Huberdeau last year, it is now forward Danny Kristo that will bring the trophy home. "I'm surprised", said Kristo, "but I'm extremely proud. It's an honour for me to succeed to my teammate and great friend Jonathan Huberdeau. There are many great young players in the league and I'm proud to be considered to best of the newcomers this year", concluded Kristo. Despite having only 29 points in 69 games, Kristo impressed by his excellent defensive play and his leadership qualities. He even apparently earned 6 votes in the Frank J. Selke Trophy ballot according to Bob McKenzie.
There are no doubts that Kristo became an important part of the Montreal Canadiens core this year with his dynamic play.[/fieldset]

[fieldset="Sunday June 22nd 2014 - Montreal Canadiens win the Draft Lottery !"]
The Canadiens' fans couldn't get more excited. After a disastrous season by the team, that finished 27th in the league, it seems that they will have the possibility to add to their ranks one of the most hyped prospect since Sidney Crosby in Connor McDavid.
Indeed, the NHL draft lottery was held today and it was announced that the Canadiens won it, moving them to pick 1st overall in this year's draft. We understand that their general manager Marc Bergevin was extremely excited since he only had a 10.7% chance of drafting first. "We are extremely happy to have the chance to add a franchise player we've been missing on our team since so many years. We have extremly good young players, and adding a players the caliber of a 1st overall pick will not hurt", said Bergevin.[/fieldset]
