i remember hearing that Lambert may be getting an offer to coach an NHL team, but that was a few months ago. would make sense that NSH would be interested in him, with their history with Trotz.I’d gladly trade Lambert for Lavy

Yeah I’m a little surprised they didn’t just go with an interim coach until the season ended. I don’t think Hynes is a bad coach. I just thought the Devils were a poorly constructed team. They’ve been pretty banged up with injuries the last 2 years and let go of some complimentary players who helped carry the load for them the year they made the playoffs.Omg, that is a very strange (IMHO terrible) choice.
If I was Ray Shero I'm forwarding his plane tickets to him today.Laviolette to New Jersey?
Agreed - I love Lavy. I’d have him coach my team (if we didn’t have BT) any day.If I was Ray Shero I'm forwarding his plane tickets to him today.

When announcing the Laviolette hire, I'd also announce that Laviolette is fired effective 24 months from today. Save everybody the trouble. If I was Ray Shero I'm forwarding his plane tickets to him today.
Re: Hynes, I think Poile misses Trotz and just hired the biggest bald head available.
If only Cappy had shown up in a bald cap, he could have been the head coach!
Nashville got hosed. Should've been Hynes++ for Laviolette.
Lavi has a 3-4 year expiration date before the players start to slowly tune him out and he's no longer effective.Agreed - I love Lavy. I’d have him coach my team (if we didn’t have BT) any day.
Shestorkin allows a softie on his 1st shot 5 min in.
Didn't see the 2nd one yet, but the first one was tipped right in front with 4 guys standing there. Can't blame the goalie there, tough break for that to be his first NHL shot.Shestorkin allows a softie on his 1st shot 5 min in.
