He wasn't part of the solution either. Down 2 goals in the third and he was out there more often than he should be. That's the consequence of having our top forwards booking their retirement homes on their off days though. It's impossible to cut down the bench that much because our best forwards are too damn old.

Deboer's playing of Salvador, Zidlicky is a fireable offense.

His continued almost sickening fetish for Gionta on the PK and faceoffs as well is a fireable offense.

His handling of goalies has been a fireable offense for almost 2 plus years now.

It's time for the ax to fall. And Lou should feel it as well in the offseason. He's been a bad GM now for awhile, and now even the Kool-Aid Krew fanboys can't fight the truth of that.

I can't wait to see the Gionta - McDavid - Bernier/Tootoo line; 8 minutes of ice time for McDavid but Gionta will get 15 playing on the PK/PP. Well that's if we don't scratch McDavid at least. That'd probably happen.

I love Elias but his baby act is getting tiring...if in fact that's what it is. Either that or he has fallen off the cliff very quickly. Either way an almost 40 year old shouldn't be playing 18 minutes a game.

True, with Henrique out and Elias being no better at faceoffs than Gionta there isn't really a palatable solution anyway.

Still 15 minutes for Gionta and 9 minutes for JJ is pretty dumb when Josefson was once again having a fairly solid game.

Playoffs you play every other day MAX. And unless you're having seven-game series every round you're not playing 15 games in 33 days in the postseason in a bunch of different cities. Plus Cory's never had this kind of workload period...asking him to just go from 45-75 is jumping the shark a bit.
