Trying to find the teams ranking cant find it but when i look at the scroreboard on the CHN site theres a number beside the teams name like number 2 beside BU, and 3 beside Denver is it their ranking in the NCAA, if so do you happen to know wich teams are 1 and 4, i guess it's BC and Michigan but not sure

The tournament is done based off the pairwise rankings. So 16 teams make it, the break them up into 4 groups so each group is ranked 1 through 4 so the 1's play the 4's and the 2's play the 3's and winners advance to face each other and that winner advances to the Frozen Fours.

Here's how they are ranked by the pairwise,

So BC because they are #1, face the #16 team, BU as #2 faces the #15 team, Denver as the #3 faces the #14 team, etc.. But then you have the auto bids for winning your conference, so this year you had RIT and Michigan Tech get auto bids for winning the Atlantic and CCHA so they knocked out Providence and SCSU who would have made the tournament if not for the auto bids.

Yeesh, Mittelstadt got absolutely walked on the 2nd goal. Omaha leads 2-1. Pitlick is invisible, but most of Minnesota's forwards are.

13 minutes left in 3rd.

Minnesota ties it up. 2-2. 10:21 left.

Oh wow, Minnesota scores with 4:10 left. 3-2. Gophers have been dominant since scoring their 2nd. Beauty tip by Nelson.

Minnesota wins 3-2, so all our prospects won today and we're guaranteed to have representation at Frozen Four.

It's Minnesota (Pitlick, Mittelstadt) vs BU (Hutson, Tuch) Saturday at 6:30 pm. Winner moves on.

Minnesota wins it. Two regional finals set:

Saturday
Harris & Denver vs. Cornell @ 4PM ET
Hutson/Tuch and BU vs. Pitlick/Mittlestadt and Minnesota @ 6:30PM ET

Minnesota wins 3-2, so all our prospects won today and we're guaranteed to have representation at Frozen Four.

It's Minnesota (Pitlick, Mittelstadt) vs BU (Hutson, Tuch) Saturday at 6:30 pm. Winner moves on.

So two Habs prospects will move on while the other two will go home.

Cutter Gauthier scores 35 seconds into game, but Michigan Tech ties it with a shorthanded goal.

That was a weird situation as the penalty was a hook from behind on a clear breakaway. It should have been a penalty shot, but refs gave the PP instead. A really bad pass coming out of BC's zone lead to a 2 on 0 for MT. Player looked/faked pass & shot. Fowler played the pass, so yeah, no chance there really.

1-1 after 1 between BC and MT.

Oh man that was such a bad rebound by Fowler. BC is lucky it's not 2-1 MT.

Lol Oh terrible turnover by BC, huge save by Fowler! OMG. Wake the f***-up, BC.

Leonard was starting to dominate the last few shifts.

BC will have to kill off a 5 minute major. Perreault thrown out.
