What are the expectations for MacKinnon going into the 2019/20 season? I think it's fair to assumed he'll be in the 30+ goal and 50+ assist range, but what are the realistic expectations of him this season? What expectations do you have for him in areas he might improve in?

I am personally expecting just over a point per game season this year as we likely won't be playing him quite as much this season and may end up with different linemates to start the season. I am expecting a 80-90 point season. However, if MacKinnon can improve his faceoffs to~50% I think he can reach the 90-100 point mark again this season even with a slightly reduced role.

Hopefully now he breaks 100 pts. I feel like even tho he says he doesn't care about personal accolades, the fact that he was 1 pt shy of 100 last year means he may try to break that.

I'd just prefer to see some consistency across the entire year rather than racking up points in the first 2 months. It'd be nice if he could hit 100.

I think he'll have his best season. Holding back his minutes a bit will leave him fresher, and if the second line can be a scoring threat, teams can't focus their entire effort on shutting him down.

I dont want to be too negative but....

I think he's peaked offensively. I'm expecting to see him in the 85-90 range this year and moving forward tbh. Hope to be wrong but I just think with the way scoring historically has went I think his 2 best years from an offensive perspective were probably these last 2 seasons.

35-40 goals and 45-50 assists is my expectation.

Will probably miss a few games with injury

Don't think he'll crack 100 since our scoring will be more evenly distributed.

I think Bednar is going to break up the big line for a lot of the season and that’s going to drop Nate’s production a little bit.

He’s a superstar though, so I would be shocked if he was under a point a game.

I’ll say 37 goals and 53 assists for 90 points.

Considering that for 41 games this year Mackinnon will be feasting on 2nd lines instead of the Mcdavid’s, Seguin’s and Kopitar’s of the west I would expect him to score quite a bit.

We’ll probably be on the PP more this year too since we acquired the best player in the league at drawing penalties.

If he plays 82 games I think he’ll break 100 points for sure.

It's gonna be really hard to say. He grand hope is that he isn't overplayed like he has been the last two seasons because now there appears to be a lot more depth to share the load. Then again, because of that depth, the opposition can't just key in on him, they'll have to pay attention to guys like

There's also power play time. I believe the Avs led the league in penalties drawn, but go take a look here and scroll down and see who one of the best players in drawing penalties is the last 8 years or so.

IcyData » Penalties Dashboard

Those numbers took a huge hit last season, because for some reason the Leafs couldn't buy a friggin' call. But maaaaaaan, if he rounds back into that form and the Avs add that to their already considerable time on the man-advantage (and the ability to roll out two pretty danged effective power play units), that might be something.

Mack will win an Art Ross one day. The thought of RoR with a bigger trophy case is too much for this Avs fan.

Around 90-100 points, similar to last year if our team stays relatively healthy.
