oh look at that, casually ignoring how your MLS invincibles got crushed

Are tou talking about that same team that schooled IMFC [ran by your ok coach], where a 20 yo forward rookie scored a hattrick ? In two games he got more goals than whole Montreal squad in this tournament ran once again by your ok coach.

Just log out bro and come back next week lol

Give him another transfer window, then cast judgement. Half the team are bums, why are some expecting more?

The team got worse under him and its the same team as year adding a DP in Wanyama and a TAM Quioto. The team got better Even Garde could manage this shitty team without Piatti for many months muuuuch more better and Garde was average and Im being genrous. Garde is Sir Alex next to TH.

Who did this team lose this winter after Piatti who played 10 games on one leg last year? Lovitz? Sagna? Please lol

There is a difference between the team is shit and the team got much more worse . This reminds me of when Bob Bradley was managing Swansea, very poor side but a clueless coach out of depth beyond his level and getting his ass whipped every other night

Wait, why aren’t we naming the team? It was Toronto. The team that got absolutely crushed in the round of 16 was Toronto.

So you're saying last legs Wanyama and a marginal upgrade in Quioto means the team get better? Please...

If anything we broke even. We are in desperate need of a DP player that will improve our woeful offense. Hopefully someone that can generate their own opportunities/offense.

You realize last legs of Wanyama is still the best DM in the whole league right? What I'm saying is last year Garde and Wilmer had better results with less. Everyone and their mama knows we need an offensive Dp that's besides the narrative here of the terrible coach currently in charge

Read an interesting thought: Players who thrive in MLS are north south players. Look at anyone. Prime example is Almiron. Davies. Drogba. Giovinco. Players that are more East-West will always struggle in this league, unless they have a noticeable above average footbal IQ (Piatti, Pirlo, Etc)
lets get Harry Kane then

Pirlo struggled big time in MLS, probably because he was really old, but yeah. Maybe if he came earlier he might have succeeded in the MLS, but at that point he was still too good for the league.

Villa was amazing though.

It has some truth in it, the MLS is a very physical league, just like the Championship in England. Fast, north-south, no non-sesne. Less talented as a whole, but the guys can run. You need to work hard and have some grinta. It's not for everyone.

With that being said, a smart and talented enough player will succeed anywhere.

Bojan is really talented, but he doesn't understand MLS players and MLS players don't understand what he wants to do.

He had big success under a coach. Perhaps this coach will follow him in ATL and has been one of his requests :sarcasm:

Atlanta going after all those LigaMx mediocre players. He's nothing special but he can be sold to Europe for more money.

There is some truth to that for sure. It's not a blanket thing but as a general rule guys who play a less technical game will tend to do much better in the MLS. You could even argue Piatti doing so good was mostly due to his stellar one on one game, he could make things happen by himself with little to no help from his teammates.

The first quarter-finals match is being played right now. Philadelphia is up 3-1 at HT against Sporting KC.
