FC = Failed Club? Foutu de Club?
For those who are complaining about moving away from a "French" name:
French Club
(the irony)
FC = Failed Club? Foutu de Club?
Sounds good to me. Never liked "Impak" anyway.
lowkey this
Impact sounds great in chants, but, in my mind, it always had a « childish » or « family-activity » connotation to it
Remember the Manic?
Not another OM please! It does sound 90s and baby-boomeresque. But we got attached to it . It's true that it does not sound major / big league. But changing for Montréal Effcé, tabarnak.... More bland than beige and brown socks. I'd prefer l'Olympique de Montréal, personally.
Most of us were not born peate lol
I'd pat you on the back in old men solidarity but the doctor says it's bad for my arthritis.
It's just as well, you'd probably knock me over.I'd pat you on the back in old men solidarity but the doctor says it's bad for my arthritis.
I really don’t mind. I get what they are trying to do. We always push back on change, but this one makes sense for connecting with the City and being taken more seriously imo.
their nickname will be the impact anyways. Like the Foxes or Wolves.
I don't see how people will see that as a connecting with the city, but I majored in Finance, not marketing, so that might be it.
at least change it to CS (club sportif) Montreal or CF Montreal to keep the language uniqueness
or Royal Montreal if you want something bilingual
I am in marketing, it is a crap idea. It is destroying your whole brand to start over because... reasons?
They interviewed Ray Lalonde on RDS, he said it was stupid too.
