I'm surprised so many posters think that Pateryn is better than Gilbert and Barbario. IMO, Pateryn is a good steady stay at home D, who hits and is aggressive in front of his own net, but he offers little in the way of OFFENSE. I think the NHL is moving towards offensive D. For that reason, Emelin and Pateryn are pretty marginal D. If ypu want to get Pateryn in, you take Emelyn out. Not a mobile D. Pateryn is a great 7-8 D, or 6 against a physically aggressive team.

Pateryn has a hard shot:
2013-14 Hamilton Bulldogs GP:68 G:15 A:19 P:34

I think he led the AHL in PP goals for a D that year.

Pateryn needs to play. Habs need to start sitting ineffective vets.

Go Habs Go!! Stop tanking guys. I'll be sad if Ottawa or Montreal wins any of the three lottery picks.

Worst case scenario will probably involve the ****ing Oilers picking first and both Ottawa and Montreal picking 2nd and 3rd.
