Does his rumor have ... Leggs? Guy is a right wing conservative (not that there's anything wrong with that) and uses his twitter account to generate the usual liberal pot-shots. He also dubs himself as an NHL "Analyst/Insider" but offers no particular credentials as to why he'd have that inside knowledge.

Kind of strange how the rumor is coming from someone completely out of ... right field. At least he looks like a real person unlike those faux insiders with the question mark logos.

On thé rocks!!!......Gibson’s or Weisers....maybe Forty Creek

Actually, that new Crown Royal Vanilla is pretty tasty, goes down like a milkshake

Canadian Club Chairman's Select 100% rye is such a good buy. 20-25 bucks and it's so smooth that it could honestly use a little more than 40% alcohol.

It’s just funny that all of this Kotkaniemi to the Habs has been gaining crazy steam and then the shill Lavoie randomly shares that Tkachuk had dinner with the team, like he didn’t know before. Clearly they had him put it out there because they hate when things are obvious.
It wasn’t random. He just reported it after it happened. Was he supposed to not report it because of the Kotkaniemi chatter??

Islanders have lots of picks and desperately need a goalie. Not sure Lou wants a 10.5M goalie though. If he does, maybe 11th, 12th and Bellows? Montreal adds a 2nd and takes back a bad contract? Maybe Ladd.

Yeah if the rumor is true(which is unlikely) that’s the team I see doing it. Would help convince JT too.

I would take it with a huge grain of salt. It's the third time someone has brought it up and all 3 sources are unreliable.

If Habs are going to move him, not sure this is the optimum time.

Ideally, he plays like he's capable out of the gate and is traded at the deadline.

Wanted him to be one of those rare birds to play his entire career with one team, but his chances of hoisting the royal mug with our team have never looked slimmer.

I have a freaking feeling that they will draft the 9 goals scorer Tkachuk just cause he has grit and is a big bad guy.
An other playmaker to go with ZERO goals scorer.

I'm so done with this team if that's the case.

They traded for Tie's son so now they will draft Keith's son so the Habs can have a Tie Domi and Keith Tkachuk reunion from their Jets days. :)

Timmins interview on 690 right now, thanks Sheed.

Timmins saw 230 games this year.

Paraphrase: "It's a lot of work, we're never home, travel, get prepared for the game, watch the game and next morning do a game report on draft eligibles, underagers, players who have already been drafted. Then move on to next game. Do this all season."

Then they grade the players, war room. Area scouts duty is to find out everything about a player. Then they go the NHL combine where 100 of top prospects are invited. Fitness, medical testing, interview process. Held 2 Hab combine for those not unvited in the NHL combine and the 2nd for European players who weren't invited at the NHL combine. Can only invite those who weren't invited to the NHL combine.

So we will know how much fake that love was.....'Cause out of everybody he talked about...our pick is CLEARLY Kotkaniemi. So...smoke screen? Or a sign that this franchise will start to be more open? We will know Friday.

Interesting tidbit of info that Timmins just gave on TSN690......Kotkaniemi had ACL surgery about a year ago.
Might be why there is a notion that he is slow. But Timmins says his skating improved through the year as the leg got stronger. They have checked out the leg and everything is OK.

Lebrun says Habs are getting calls about No. 3.

Wonder who is calling and who is calling the most?

Strange thing though....the way Timmins talks about him, and if you still hold him in high regard, there is NO WAY that you want somebody else than Kotkaniemi. He just sold him to everybody. So if it's not him...people will be dissapointing.

Montreal will draft Zadina 3rd. Throwing out the idea of drafting Kotkaniemi in order to see what teams will give up in order to move up. I still believe nothing will come to fruition before the draft because no one's going to offer a big enough piece along with their 1st.

MTL drafts Zadina, then hopefully can land ROR somehow. If this happens our forward group won't look so appalling to begin the season.

NHL draft: Is Filip Forsberg Habs' new power forward?

PAT HICKEY, The Gazette 06/20 /2012

NHL draft: Is Filip Forsberg Habs' new power forward?

Canadiens scouting guru Trevor Timmins was on hand to watch Forsberg in those international events and also travelled to Leksand to meet the young player and his family on their home turf. Timmins puts a lot of stock in these visits and describes Forsberg as a quality individual from a quality family.

He mentions a draft board.....it could be that his friend walked by the war room, door was open and she saw the name of Zadina at the top......doesn’t necessarily mean he’s the #1 pick, it could be that they put down 3 names at the top and are contemplating who to pick, I don’t think bergy went up to her and said this is what ho we’re picking.

That LA story sounds interesting, A Pacioretty and an early second for Vilardi and their first would make me very happy!!

Kings also looking at Phil Kessel...

Well unless Svechnikov and Dahlin falls, the guy they loved the most, they'll pick him. In 2012, maybe they thought GAlly would have been picked.
