Typical.

Some guys just cannot stay healthy and it always seems like a substantial number of them find their way onto the Yankees.

Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit f***!

Whelp they are gonna have to hope and pray that Paxton stays healthy when he comes back (not likely), that Monty comes back strong (possible), and that German comes back in June after paying his debt (ugh) and is effective (double ugh).

I don't know that I'd say it isn't a big deal. Seems last year was an outlier.

It's got a really high bounce back rate and the recovery period is shrinking basically by the minute.

It's far from ideal, but it's not a huge deal.

TJ isn't a big deal but why didn't they take care of this in the fall?

They evidently sent him in October and then again later on and they didn't find anything either time with regular MRIs.

Using the contrast dye has come under some scrutiny in the last few years because of possible health issues. Studies are being done on it now. Possible that played into holding off on doing it with contrast until they felt it was completely necessary.

I should say they follow the procedural steps now in place that eventually necessitates a dye-contrast mri.

Forearm pain for a pitcher is a pretty clear indicator of some sort of elbow issue that more likely than not would require intervention. This isn't Joe Shmo having forearm pain, the guy throws 100 mph 60+ times every 5 days. Contrast is indicated at that point as you're not likely going to find a false positive in a pitcher. The potential health issues of contrast make you think twice sure, but waiting 6 months to do it just doesn't make sense either.

Always the same players. Stanton is turning into Ellsbury 2.0. Last season proved we don't need Stanton to be successful, so at least it's not a huge loss.

I never liked the Stanton trade, did not feel it was necessary after 2017, but Cashman can't help himself.

It's a good thing they didn't trade Andujar. Now hopefully he can stay healthy...

He looks like the Hulk. You don't need to be that muscular to play baseball. All these soft tissue injuries probably stem from being too bulky and lacking flexibility.
