I'm not going to go all crazy with this news as of right now. Still, it would be interesting if Judge has another season not being fully available due to a non-contact issue and if that were to be the case, the Yanks really do have to take his injury history into account when deciding on his future with the club.
Very pleased with the displeasure major leaguers are taking over the Astros. Even more pleased with the amount of players stepping up for Judge, who was robbed of a MVP he deserved that season anyways.
No doubt. If he misses 50+ games again, he's going to cost himself hundreds of millions potentially.
I would bet dollars to doughnuts that at least half of the guys currently expressing their righteous indignation would have willingly participated in what was going on if you just dropped them onto one of the Astros teams in the thick of a pennant race. It's always so easy to judge other people, but my experience has taught me that those who judge the loudest are often the biggest hypocrites. And it's always surprising to see who is involved. Would anyone have pegged Carlos Beltran as a ring leader in all this? Good guys get caught up in bad stuff. It happens.
Not saying everyone would do it. But a lot of the guys would. Hell, I'm sure many of them have done other highly unethical things both inside and outside baseball. I get why guys are upset, I really do. But it all seems a little much. And every time some new player comes out raging, I picture Rafael Palmeiro poking his finger at senators, and wonder, is this guy really an angel himself?
No doubt. This is evident with Justin Verlander, biggest hypocrite in baseball...
The attitude of that entire organization before and after the news dropped is feeding into the hate.
They deserve every bit of shit they will get thrown their way.
Luis Severino was scratched from a scheduled bullpen session on Thursday due to right forearm soreness.
Concerning news for a guy who pitched just 12 innings during the 2019 regular season because of upper-arm troubles. Yankees manager Aaron Boone noted that this forearm issue dates back to Severino's ALCS Game 3 start against the Astros. The 26-year-old right-hander has been shut down from throwing and will see team physician Dr. Chris Ahmad on Friday. There should be an update on his status within the next 24 hours.

This dude is a mess.
Haven't taken the field in spring training and we have three major injuries.
The Astros definitely did compile a roster of the absolute worst people on Earth.
The Astros and their fanbase continue to look worse.
A's Fiers acknowledges receiving death threats
Also Jonathan Lucroy confirms that the A's told MLB about the Astros cheating in 2018, and MLB did nothing until Mike Fiers made it public.
AND David Ortiz calls Mike Fiers a snitch
Papi looks shitty there, but I bet there are 4-5 times as many players who feel like Papi as opposed to those who would be outraged and refuse to participate.
Can I say shitty now? Neat!
Ortiz is a moron cheater himself.
Awful. I've sort of lost a bit of interest going into this season with this and the lack of balls shown by the commissioner for the Astros scandal.
Yup. And with both him and Pedro being some of the most outspoken against Fiers, it makes me wonder what the hell they were doing in the Red Sox locker room that they wouldn't want exposed.
Well, PEDs for one thing...
This is something else. Another Bud Selig special. The Iraq War stuff is extra scummy.
The Controversial Past of the Tycoon Behind the Astros
Matz gives up a shot on his 2nd pitch of the spring. Not an auspicious start for a guy who is now battling for a slot in the rotation.
I dont know if its so much about their specific team, but the 2018 red sox also are under scrutiny.
Theres a reason why Chris Sale basically gave a typical athlete answer when asked about the Astros.
