Good for Sneep, I assume he'll have a better shot in Houston. Doesnt neccessarily indicate more moves are on the way though. He got a cup of coffee last year and this year hes AHL depth/ECHL starter. Let him get a shot somewhere else to work his way up?


Kolarik for Ferriero sounds like we want a good AHL scorer because we want the Baby Pens to do better, and the Rangers probably want a guy that can be depth for thier NHL team. He played enough for the Sharks Im sure he can be a fourth line guy for Torts in a pinch.

I think Ferriero can be serviceable when/if he's called up. Wouldn't count on him sticking, but he won't be a train wreck when he's in the lineup.

Exactly. Point is, he obviously didn't fit this system. Doesn't take away that he's a decent NHL tweener.

Which is something the Pens don't need. Hopefully Kolarik is what Shero thought Smith would be. We need an AHLer scorer to place with the young guys to kick up the offensive production.

Not sure where he fits yet, since he seems like a smaller guy with a questionable defensive game. Wouldn't want to pair him with BB except for the PP.

Would laugh and call Shero a genius if this guy can become gold on the PP and Morrow starts ripping them into the net....I'm being very optimistic here

I don't believe Shero ever offered Strait up for a trade. The idea was that Strait would pass through waivers and we would keep him (at least I hope that's what the intention was). Shero took a risk and lost.

As a side note, I don't think Sneep is as bad as most people on here do.

ya I'd take Subban in a heartbeat. Obviously it depends on the cost in both assets and actual salary but in general he's a player I would love to have on our team.

Well i really doubt they want Sneep for there NHL team, and if they claimed Strait, they couldn't send him down to the AHL

Crosby was Patrick right? Though I do not doubt Shero would have taken him if he was handling the draft. Well 99% sure anyways.

Edit 2007 was Esposito. I blocked him out, but yes he did go forward.

That said, Shero's preference for defensemen absent almost having his hand forced is undeniable and it shows in the organization.
