Travis Dermott has played 89:22 minutes of PK in his entire Leafs career with a GA/60 of 3.36. Cody Ceci has already played 77:34 this season with a GA/60 of 7.74.

All they have is two rejects from the Leafs who are older and slower and last season the Isles loss their best player!

How come they that much better than the Toronto Maple Leafs!?

Yeah,nothing against his style( most all love the motor). Just prefer more talent/offense on a top line. I'm reasonably sure he could show off in a traditional checking role.

Who is this Beauvillier guy for the Islanders? He has 7 goals on the year.

That is one thing missing from the Leafs this season so far, no one is stepping up unexpectedly with secondary scoring.

I'll tell you why they're that much better. They have Barrie Trotz and play one of the most effective structured systems in the NHL. They also have grit.

On the other hand, we have Babcock and no grit.

For the knowledgable people out there, is there any way we can force Babcock into another position in management as to not ‘fire’ him and ‘retain his rights’? That way if someone wants him maybe we can recoup an asset and have the potential to not eat his remaining 20+M salary.
