I feel like McDavid is still faster on his best day but it was cool to see barzal shine.

Barzal doesn't have jets like McDavid does, no one does. McDavid's burst is unparalleled. Barzal probably has the best edgework in the game and thus is one of the most elusive players in the NHL. I remember a scout said Barzal was the best East-West skater he'd seen in the WHL during his draft year.

McDavid wasn't in peak form, Barzal pretty much was. There is the legend of Nick Leddy though...

Only up three I think, and it was against the best team in the league, but I see your point.

And it wasn't the scoring that let them down, but their defensive play, which is what the benching was to address.
