I'd probably take Draisaitl if all things were even. A lot of his issues are related to coaching/management.

But the contract is a heavy negative right now and that pushes me to Marner (value wise).

I can understand this logic.

It will be interesting to see if Lou can pull a rabbit out of his hat with MM contract. If it's 8 years it should be close to Drai in my opinion. MM is a good player.

Yet they are quick to point out that Marner got 69 points and is NOT a 70 point player.

They were using Gifs / Memes to ignore the fact that DRAISAITL played 520 Minutes with McDavid. Also, never talk about Draisaitl's rookie season.

And also --- forget that Draisaitl is 2 years older than Marner.

Brown has been a disappointment (offensively) this season. But, he has been good defensively.

Brown does not have value to other teams, I know that he is not worth a lot.

What is there to discuss? We are all well aware that Draisaitl played about 45% of his 5 on 5 minutes with McDavid this season, and playing with McDavid is a benefit to anyone. We also know that Marner played with Kadri, JVR, Bozak, Marleau and 2 50 point Dmen throughout the year while Draisaitl played with 20-30 point wingers and not even a single 30 point dman this year. Both players benefitted from their situation.
