Slow week with Finnish hockey being shut down and our top guys off to the WJC or injured.

Holmberg, Ovchinnikov, Hallander, Kizimov, Hirvonen, Kral, Koster, O'Connell, Schingoethe, Miller, and Miettinen got into some games though.

Some notable weeks:

Ovchinnikov - 3 points in 2 games.
Hallander - 3 points in 3 games.
Kizimov - 3 points in 3 games.
Miller - 1st USHL point.

Korshkov scored the OT winner for Lokomotiv on a net front clean-up play. Up to 22 points in 32 games in the KHL.

2 more points than Barabanov last season in 11 less games.
Hope he earns a spot on the team this year if there is a season. If he can outplay barbanov/engvall/vesey he should get a spot on the 3rd line.

December 2020 – Korshkov is having his best KHL campaign yet on loan for 2020-21, now up to 21 point in 31 contests. His calling card continues to be his surprisingly soft hands in tight quarters for a big man – his 10 goals leads the team. He will reportedly be remaining in the KHL for the full season even once NHL play resumes, which is understandable given the forward depth brought in by the Maples Leafs this off-season. He looks like a future NHLer, but many injuries would be required for that to happen this year. Hayden Soboleski

Egor Korshkov

I don’t know if this has been confirmed or not yet.

I fell asleep laptop in hand last night and missed the whole game.

Pretty easy though to see why some of us post draft were so excited about getting a Miettinen-level prospect in the 6th. His shot and skating are straight up NHL level today.

I'd like to talk about Kral.

He's playing against men for the first time since he was 17 years old, playing significant minutes (18:54) with insane zone starts (35.2%) and he's putting up a respectable rel.CF% (-3.4%) on a horrible team in the league that by NHLe standards is top-5 (similar to Liiga) in the world. Not to mention he has a respectable NHLe with his production being slightly more impressive than Kosters and slightly behind Niemela.

For reference his team is last in the league in CF%, last in GF, T-2nd last in GA. This teams an absolute pile of dogshit and he's not only getting crushed in how they're using him, but he's holding his head relatively close to water, increasing his rel.CF% all three times I've updated my lists while his zone starts continue to get harder.

That first clip is insane.
Not many guys have the skill and agility to try that in an actual game.

SDA has been putting up decent numbers and getting good ice in the KHL. Do you think he has a future with Leafs and what’s his floor/ceiling?

I don’t mind him as a prospect but I think we’re gonna have better options available to us

I think he has a future in the NHL. He seems to pick up his game when he doesn't play with junior players.

He's leading our entire prospect pool in NHLe while just turning 20 two months ago in the second best league in the world. He was good last year, he's been great this year. Moving up my prospect list really quickly.
