If Dano didn't play 25+ games this season he likely wouldn't have gained the valuable experience necessary to play the way he was playing towards the end of the season. Even if he was still eligible for the Calder after what he did this past season there's quite frankly no way in hell he wins it, and a nomination is almost as unlikely. McDavid, Eichel, Reinhart, etc.
Next year's Calder-eligible pool of players is going to be insanely good.
No doubt. But the numbers he posted even strength were so good that it's hard for me to state unequivocally that he couldn't be reasonably projected to put up numbers in the ballpark with these outstanding players.
