true, but I don't remember him discussing names like this..and I am joking of course, just all in fun..
As am I, of course.
I don't recall that, either.

Kelley only had 19 words to say about Byram. Less than everyone except Zegras who also had 19 words said about him. Of course Zegras isn't even in the conversation for #3.
So it's very clear that Kelley is trying to keep up the facade and hide from everyone that Byram is the pick. I see right through you Kelley...
I’m sure there have been plenty of heated discussions. If there was ever a time to be a fly on the wall for draft meetings, to be there for all of the discussion for this first pick would be the time.
now i am and i mean i am agreeing stretching for a possible scenario. pure guess on my part and thinking of a conspiracy in this. The only player he mentioned by first name when giving his scouting report. Welcome to Chicago, AT.
Hundreds of people know more about hockey on this website than Craig Button. Guy is a turd. His rankings are based purely on the WJC and the U18s and thats about it. Maybe sprinkle in some Hlinka.
It is not the number of words but it it the quality in this situation imo. His review was short but glowing.
I think we are just having some fun with Kelley and how he spoke of Turcotte - still Byram for me, but Turcotte is right there man...So... apparently everyone is on the Turcotte train now?
True, but does Kelley want to tip his hand as to the players he has in mind in the upcoming draft? I don't think so.
Or is he just such a good poker player that his bluffs are believable? Talking up Turcotte so the Rangers take him and we get Kakko. I see you Kelley.Kelley is not a good poker player lol..
I think most of us like both of them.So... apparently everyone is on the Turcotte train now?
If Kakko dropped it would be a miracle but it won't happen.
Someone should lose their job if that happens. What's NYR's D-corps look like? Thinking they try to get cute and take Byram instead?
Certifiable.
If Peyton Krebs is rated as highly by the front office as it would appear, we could potentially see a trade down scenario or one where the Hawks confidently select him at #3 similar to how Montreal boldly chose Kotkaniemi at #3 last season despite his lower rank on amateur scouting mocks.
As a centre/left winger, Krebs has the versatility and the blend of speed, skill, competitiveness and high IQ that the Hawks clearly covet in their players.
Or, perhaps there is another player in this draft that is of a similar mold, but of a slightly higher caliber, that is currently projected to go #3-#5 that the Hawks are nearly already set on...
This is all it takes for the Rangers to pass on Kakko.Someone should lose their job if that happens. What's NYR's D-corps look like? Thinking they try to get cute and take Byram instead?
