heard it all before, MB is going to land a big fish....then the dust settles...and we get a minnow
Beyond foolish at this point.............all that happens is as you say, grab a B/C type of player, and move the goalposts again...so why is he still employed? Oh ya, Mol$on is in charge...

I wonder if Bergevin will brag about making the playoffs.

Though, if they win a couple rounds, they'll be entitled to brag.
Bergevin is smiling ear to ear right now. He says that he accomplished his goal of making the playoffs and that anything can happen so you can't expect results.

MB before this season: If we can make it to the playoffs, anything can happen.
MB after this season: If we can make it to the regular season, anything can happen.

I can’t fathom this man is still GM of this franchise. We have become perpetual losers and no one seems to care...

money.

He's still the GM because of money. The team sucks but they still make alot of money therefore no reason to push change hard.

Yes, a playoff team will make even more money , Stanley cup = GOBS of money...

if you can put in 10% effort and get an 80% return vs. putting in 90% effort and 100% return... well its easy to see why he's still the GM.
