Yes, I think certain players could have been better. Yes I think that the Leafs could have won the series and technically almost did. However, after seeing the Boo Jackets and Lightening play almost 3 games in 1 last night I don't feel so bad about the Leafs loosing.

I personally think Spezza and JT should be traded as they are getting older, slower and will likely do so again next season. I'm on the fence about Anderson. I think Campbell should be given the reigns for a while next year at the 1st of the year and see how he does.

Because people love repeating incorrect statements? That seems to be the reason.
Defense wins championships.

That is sports wisdom from people who played the game and who were architects of those winning teams in the game.

This spans different sports, and different eras.

In Dubas' world, he has his own internal stats, made by his own underlyings, to show how good their own Leafs players are like Ceci and Kerfoot.

Dubas quickly becoming a laughing stock.

This is how you run a fiefdom in the Dark Ages and not a NHL club in the 21st century.

You mean like "truculence", "pugnacity" and tough heavy gritty physical play being really important?

those catchphrases?

If you don't think physical play and being tough isn't important in the playoffs you have no idea what you're talking about, sorry.

Good team structure starts with a reliable and strong defense, and you need to be strong on the puck, along the boards, and tough on 50/50 battles.

You can't be easily rattled or mentally soft either. The leafs are. Your argument cannot be backed up when we have had four 1st series exits in a row, and we're not a physical team.
