That's not true watch a ducks game.... Literally everyone stands still and the other team gets a breakaway.

The Wild's PP is literally the worst in the NHL (ranked 31st - 8.4%). Anaheim isn't much better at 11.8%....but still better than the Wild.

The Law of Averages suggest that the Wilds PP should start progressing towards the mean at some point here. Its unlikely to remain below 10% for the entire season.

Calder is his to lose. Best rookie I've seen this year by a fair margin. Stutzle is very good and a few years younger so he may end up being the better player down the road but for this year Kaprizov is very impressive.

I guess the discussion isn't about the Calder anymore, rather about how many votes he gets for Hart and if he will take Doughty's Norris next time they'll play against each other. :sarcasm:

It’s gotten better of late and is trending up but man was it awful at the start we were on pace for a record worst.

Still are. if 8.4% remains through the season(it won't), it would literally be the worst in NHL history. 98 Tamba currently holds it at 9.2%

It's crazy how one player can impact a franchise. The Wild must be pinching themselves.

I mean I think we mostly feel relieved that we finally have him in Wild sweater.

We knew he'd be great. Maybe not this great this early, but expectations for him have been high for years.

But yeah. Amazing player, so entertaining to watch.

The key thing there is that he didn't wait to shoot, but did it before he finished his outside move. Just shows how smart he is. The time to shoot, or pass, is when you are making a move around a defender, when it is unexpected.

What makes this guy great is his intangibles. Very smart, and very competitive. Tough, too, in the sense that he doesn't get intimidated like some skillsy players.

To avoid any confusion, the good ol' hockey future prospect graduation criteria is used for that, which is 65 NHL games played or the end of the season when the player turns 24. Kaprizov is 23 and has played in 35 NHL games at the moment.

For those who haven't seen him, Kaprizov is not playing like a really good rookie. He is playing like a really good first line player. If he had a decent top 6 C playing with him instead of Victor Rask...
