Rumor: Luke Schenn's agent tweets out a list as to why Schenn would be a perfect deadline acquisition- Has Canucks already told him Schenn is getting traded?

I think even if Schenn could only fetch a 3rd or worse you take that and run when you’re a bottom feeder team. However, this has been an absolute tragic management team led by the owner Aqualini.

They signed Miller long term then offered Bo a straight slap in the deal.

Zero faith and will likely resign long term.

Cap space is king. Schenn's contract is extremely affordable and he is a perfect #5-7 dman for any contending team.

In normal circumstances he wouldn't fetch much, but due to the current situation with a flat cap I think people are going to be surprised for how much he goes for if traded.

Same I think he goes for a second rounder and a okay-ish prospect.

He’s going to get a 1st there is no doubt about it. You can fit him on any team with his $850k salary. He’s going to probably get more on top of the first and will be resigning in Vancouver. I’ll eat crow if it doesn’t happen, but it will.

I like Luke and his current game a lot and want him on the Oil but wow, if the Canucks can get that for a guy (on league min and a one year deal), run and run fast. Because the po po will be looking for you, a major robbery suspect. :)

Schenn is the type of player GM’s overpay for at the deadline. The fact that his contract is such that every contender can fit him in without doing anything makes him even more attractive.

I don't see where the leafs fit Schenn on the blue line. Would like to have him anyway though.

Which means we can probably get a 1st for kuzmenko. He’s on a entry level deal can play on top 6 role and a 850k contract.

I think a 1st is a delusional ask. Can't see anyone paying that price for him. Maybe a 2nd.

a first is a stretch for sure, but when teams bid against each other, and there are some teams that are very restricted on what they can add to help their run. an absolute contender can part with the 28th to 32nd pick.

Kinda sad because he’s one of the few players on this team I actually like. If we move him, I hope we re-sign him in the offseason, he’s exactly what we need And will be a big hole. We might as well trade Kuzmenko cause I doubt he’s re-signing here after the season he is having. He will be able to pick where he goes next year.

Call me crazy... but I think he's getting two 2nd at the deadline. Or a 2nd and a 3rd that's somehow very high.

Chiarot went for a first. Manson went for a 2nd and good (but not great) prospect.

Schenn would have similar value wouldn't he?

Chiarot played 21-23 minutes with Montreal per season before the trade to Florida.

Manson played 19-22 minutes with Anaheim before being traded to Colorado.

Schenn is playing 17 minutes for Vancouver after playing 10-12 minutes per game for Tampa during their Cup runs.

In summary: No Schenn doesn’t have similar value. Chiarot and Manson were valued as second pairing top 4 Dmen when traded. Schenn is still valued as a third pairing bottom 6 Dman today.

I would take him back in TB if the price was right. Would love to have him back on the bottom-pairing. Good guy to have on your team.

Not going anywhere close to a 1st though.

Probably not a first but good bet to get a second rounder back.

Been saying for months the Oilers should target Schenn.
