They only reason Lebron went to LA was to do what he did in Miami. Stock a team up with all stars and breeze to the West finals if not a championship. AD let the league know that he was not going to play for anyone but the Lakers. He would of waited it out until he could have went there via free agency.

I have never liked teams going out and creating a contender overnight in any sport. Lebron will go down in history as being the biggest ring chasers of all time. Guys normally do it at the end of their careers But Lebron did it going into his prime.

If I was 20 years and didn't know any better I would think lebron is the greatest of all time because he is really good. Having watched Basketball for more than 30 years He is miles behind the showtime Lakers and Shaq and Kobe. Even Kobe's 2 are more impressive than any of Lebrons chips except for maybe his Cleveland one.

Trading away all of your prospects to get one of the best players in the league to play with the other best player in the league is not exciting for basketball fans maybe Lakers fans. Basketball fans want to see Lebron go against Davis in the playoffs. That's exciting.
lebron's an idiot if he thought he would come to the lakers and breeze through the west. this isn't the EC where the 6-8 seeds go into the playoffs with losing records. the west is always extremely tough.

those kids the lakers traded for AD came as a result of several awful seasons and they just were not going to get through the west with lebron+ingram/ball/kuzma. they did what any other team would have done had they been in the lakers situation. the clippers gave up a ton to get PG and they gave kawhi a massive contract. don't see you criticizing that move.

The Clippers were a good team who got better by trading away mostly picks. There moves were to put them over the top. The Lakers went from last in the league to first. LeBron came a year early because he could but had no intention of staying with the the Lakers if they kept the roster as is. His only intention was to Live in LA, recruit which ever stars would come, and finish his career never being on a losing team. Lebron likes it easy.

the clippers were a second tier WC team who automatically became a title contender by signing kawhi to a huge contract and trading away a ton of picks and SGA for PG. again, pretty much the same thing as the lakers did in signing lebron and trading away young players and picks for AD

if lebron liked it easy he would have stayed in CLE where he was guaranteed a finals appearance because of how bad the EC is. he wouldn't have signed with a WC team, especially one that has been crap for a while now

At this stage of LeBron's career he wants to live with stars and not factory workers. In basketball it doesn't take much to become a great team. The competition is still hard in the west but when you get a stacked team it makes it a lot easier. Plus, NOBODY wants to play in Cleveland.

If he wanted it easy, he would've signed with a contender, not a 35-win team that was still rebuilding. The narratives by LeBron haters are lame.

That would hurt his credibility even more. At this point in his career he wants the lifestyle LA provides over the career. But the Lakers want relevancy and will pay for it. He went to LA because they told him they would pay for who ever he wants. At least he got AD.

Again, it’s jealousy. There’s a reason this doesn’t go on in the Raptors or Bulls thread
This does go on in the Raptors thread. I was for trading DeRozan but the majority loved him. Same as in the Toronto Leafs/Raptors thread. It was a gamble Toronto made to get Kawhi but they traded star for star. Just one was better than the other. I take emotion completely out of it when I analyze basketball.

Kawhi >>>>> Lebron / AD
Don’t you love when people watch basketball 1 time a year and make claims.

It’s the third month of the season, LeBron played on a clearly injured groin. The Lakers will be fine. Beverley acting like he just won a championship is hilarious.

Playing 39 mins and running the point with injured groin doesn't seem wise...

He was awful tonight.
