Heard thru the grapevine that London was trying to trade with Saginaw for the rights to Adam Fantilli.

Any truth to the story??? Any rumors from your side of the Border???

I’d imagine they’re showing some interest. Haven’t heard anything but that seems like a Hunter-type acquisition

Have not really heard anything in the news or any social media rumours. As noted though London is pretty much attached to any of the “big” rumours as they tend to at least kick the tires if it’s something they are interested in? I would think the earlier the better in their minds as far as which year he would be reporting in? We are for sure a little thin up front so we need to have some of our high risk picks show up or trade for one or two high ceiling guys.

I don't think so but you never know.

377G 420A 797 Pts
1 Rocket
1 Hart
2 Cups if Dallas wins

His counting stats aren't all that close to hall of fame calibre, but stranger things have happened.

You guys are discounting that it is the "Hockey" hall of fame not the "NHL" hall of fame.

His resumes actually reads
1 Rocket
1 Hart
1 WJC Gold medal \
1 Memorial Cup championship |
1 World Championship Gold medal |
1 World Cup Gold Medal > Only 2nd player ever to win all 6 (Niedermayer)
2 Olympic Gold Medals |
1 Stanley Cup championship /
797 NHL Pts.

He wont be first ballot but he will get in. Who knows maybe when he is done in the NHL, he goes to Europe to get a Spengler too.

It would make sense if it happened. A lot of things have happened since the draft. If Adam goes to Chicago or even Saginaw he would not be able to come home for the Christmas break. His parents may not see him play live next season either.
With teams in the USHL folding like a cheap suit because of COVID he might not see a full season next season in Chicago.
If it were going to happen it would cost a minimum of four or more second round picks and a sweetheart deal later for some London roster players.

Adam is already in the US at Steel camp.

Sucks that things didn’t work out with Panwar here. It looked like there was something there with limited playing time in his 16 year old season, but the addition of Gruden and the emerging of Evangelista didn’t allow for him to move up the lineup at all for his sophomore season. Hope he can find his stride in Flint.

I liked Panwar and thought he needed more ice time to reach the next level. He teased us as a 16 year old and we will possibly regret letting him go so cheap.

Cheap? The guy has 11 career points and is a 2002

It’s possible he hits his stride but indications now are that he’s not close to there. If anything, this is an overpayment compared to a cheap payment

At worst they get 3 seasons of a serviceable bottom 6 forward who’s skill set could also allow him to kill penalties. The 4th round is where you tend to draft those guys. That’s a pretty good low risk/high reward move.

London just traded a roster player for their own pick back in next spring's draft. Sure sign they are tanking this season, right?

May have been a roster player the last 2 seasons, but there was no guarantee he was going to be one next season.... whenever that is.

This trade was a steal for London. Doesn't matter how Panwar performs for Flint.

Maybe Panwar was not happy with his situation and just felt he needed a change? He may have asked to be moved? Maybe parents or agent felt he needed a reboot?

I have a feeling it was mutual. Mark and Dale have always been good for getting guys into situations that will be better for them, but Panwar had to have a had an understanding that he would probably still be a 3rd/4th line guy in London where as Flint has been a good spot for players in a similar situation as Panwar to go to for a reboot/boost

Damn, too bad they didn’t trade him for the rights to Owen Power.
Flint should have just drafted Panwar in the first place and let the Knights pick Power. Lol
