That's less than what we paid Rutta last year... let that sink in...Not too bad. Can't imagine he will be a huge contribution near the end of the deal but $1.7M is dirt cheap.
I reject this information. That's less than what we paid Rutta last year... let that sink in...
So this probably means we're done with our blueline for the summer right?

McDonagh-Cernak
Coburn-Sergachev/Rutta
Foote, Gaunce, Masin
No way.... Get Stralman back tooSo this probably means we're done with our blueline for the summer right?

Were done with stralman unless they trade miller and Callahan out to open salary cap roomNo way.... Get Stralman back too
Which should happen on draft day and July 1st. We can go over cap a little bitWere done with stralman unless they trade miller and Callahan out to open salary cap room
I doubt that we bring Stralman back. Unless he really wants to be here and they clear out some space for him. He will likely want some term too.
He's also part of TB's leadership group, so his personal investment in the team's success (like Coburn) shouldn't be understated. The only thing that makes me think strals might come back is that he and his family reportedly really like it here IIRC. He has a ton of young kids and might sign cheap just to keep them here.
Counter argument is that someone would definitely overpay for him and this is gonna be his last payday.
