Misunderstood - thought you were implying that we'd dump all three of them. Don't see Gourde going though. They like his gritty play and ability to score.

I would have tabled 3 years $21 million for a $7 million AAV at first offer and added more term as needed if he was okay with the money. Just whatever keeps that cap hit down

I thought it would take somewhere between $7-7.5M to get it done but clearly $6.75 is a good negotiating point. Point is not the face of the franchise and his holding out for more $$ was really never going to happen! We need another team to sell off their assets this year like Ottawa did so they will need a contract or two to hit the salary floor next year!
