Second coming of Marcus Johansson... which actually wouldn't be all that bad.
Marcus played for the same team in his last SHL season getting 10+10 in 42 games as a 19 year old. (5+5 in 45 games as a 18 year old) He was also captain for Sweden's U20 team at WJC 09-10 scoring 1+5 in 5 games, so I guess you're on to something here.
But I'm not too sure Liam is going to be as productive as Marcus. Marcus scored 13+14 in 69 for Caps as a rookie.

C'mon man, lighten up! Heidt will be killing it in the top 6, and complaining about playing with shit players when stuck on a line with Zucc. Marat will kick Freddy's ass in a dressing room fight, who will ask for a contract termination and sue Leipold. Foligno will demand a trade to the new franchise in Salt Lake City, as he heard you can legally have more than one wife there(Taylor Swift will have broken up with Kelce by this time, and... well, you connect the dots).

And Stramel... well ... ya...
I’ll be shocked if Heidt ends up a top 6 player.

Ohgren looks like Mojo when skating, but I don’t think he will be as fast. Or have the zone-entry ability. He should provide more grit and defense though.

Oh crap, yeah, Stramel! I forgot.
Sounds good to me. Could end up with 3 pretty good lines if that happens, each able to score some goals. Though, I have serious doubts about how good Zuccarello is going to be 2 years from now.

Kaprizov - Hartman - Yurov
Boldy - Rossi - Zuccarello
Ohgren - JEE - Foligno Stramel
someone - Gaudreau - someone else
Fixed.

I don't see the MoJo comparison all that much, but if he has MoJo's entries and shot, while also having a little more sandpaper to his game, then I am all for it.

I don’t think he will have the entries. I was just agreeing with 57 that he looks a lot like Mojo in his skating stride.

Without the wheels and a better shot. He’s going to be a good NHLer. Not going to be an exciting player or a great scorer, but I feel pretty confident that he’ll be a top 30 player from his draft so ultimately he’ll be a fine pick

He scored a nice PP goal in the first period from the high slot area. First line winger, first PP formation. His line scored another goal and he looks more confident and relaxed. He is tied for fourth in junior goal scoring with David Edstrom, Oscar Fisker Molgaard and Filip Bystedt and the players above and those he is tied with has played between 12-23 games more than him.
One more period to go.

He got another point, assisted on the final goal. Collected a puck along the boards after his linemate won a battle. He skated it to the dot and passed the puck to the slot where his D-man shot it into the net. His line was the best of his team with 3 goals in a game they should have lost.
The other team was better and had 62 shot attemps but had no puck luck.
Good to see his improvement. His team is a lock for the playoffs and is one of the 2 favorites to play in the finals, so I don't know about the possibilities for him to come over and play for Iowa the last few games this year.

Not too bad, remember this is a low scoring league after all. Good 2-way play over all gets him a long way. Now just keep on growing his confidence and we may have a NHL player in some time. I still think his best move would be to play another SHL season, but who knows what's best for him.

I'm mainly focusing on shots for a young prospect like Ohgren. I don't expect him to score alot of points in his first year in the SHL but I want to keep him shooting. And if prorated to 41 games like the rest of his team, he would be 2nd on team shots so I'm happy about that.

I'd rather have him in the AHL next year. I don't see him as pushing for the NHL out of camp, but he could/should be a callup option later in the season.

I'd like to see him learn the NA game and go though a season playing a AHL/NHL number of games. I think it'll set him up better for knowing what he needs to work on in the offseason so he can make a roster NHL roster push for the 25-26 season.

This is scoring efficiency top 5 for the whole SHL, not just juniors. Nice to see him finding the net so often now.
Lekkerimäki scored 2 today with 2 wicked shots. Liam is now alone in fourth place in junior goal scoring. This is going better than I expected after the WJC.

In today's game they met the second placed team on the road and Liam scored in a early PP. A snipe from the high slot area from a feed below the goal line, a similiar play like the one he did score on a few games ago. He and his linemates have developed great chemistry since they were put together and he stopped bouncing around in the lineup.

He is strong and wins most of his battles. No more long puck transports, keeps moving the puck quick. Had a great defensive play in front of his own goal with 5 minutes left, but the other player sold it good and he got a penalty. The other team scored and with some seconds left he found a player who almost scored.

In the OT he did get a couple of shifts, but was in the D-zone most of the time. Defended well.
In the shootout he did get the third try, but didn't score. They won it in SO.
He played second most of the forwards with 21.10 TOI.

This is looking really good now.
3+2 in his latest 4 games.

Excited to hear that he is playing strong out there against men. Scoring is nice, too...man, we could use a sniper on the team(Beckman type), but i think Ohgren is more of a hybrid, even though he seems to have a nice shot.

My understanding is that he's more of a volume shooter - but with the pro size, so at the end of the day, itll result in the same thing, more goals. But he'll need a playmaker to to raise his offensive potentially bc I think itll be tempting for the coaching staff to stick him on a Hartman/Foligno line...he'll fit right in and it will make a really good power line but I would rather try out a Ohgren-Rossi-Yurov line.

I can see a Rossi - Ohgren- Boldy line working, also. Boldy's experience and size will be helpful.

I think you want Yurov - JEE - Kaprizov. Unless Yurov excels playing C, in which case you have a "too many C's" problem, which is not really a problem at all. I can see Yurov's speed creating opportunities.

That is, potentially, two strong offensive lines with a mix of attributes.
